
Spreading Awareness
Sleep is an absolutely beautiful function our bodies go through. Like Food and water, we need sleep in a consistent and healthy form. Sleep often goes overlooked by other means in life.
We go ⅓ of our lives sleeping (that’s if we’re getting enough), and that’s how we were meant to be. Humans are the only species that deliberately and constantly lack our natural processes of sleep. Sleep plays many important roles in our physical, mental, and social capacities, sleep accounts for much more than what we normally see.
The bottom line is that far too many people are going without proper sleep, and far too many people do not know the implications sleep deprivation has on their health.
We as a species need to make sure that we’re getting enough sleep, because we’re currently undergoing a sleep crisis.
